The SS NOVA is a semi-automatic twin tub rated at 9.5 kg wash and 6.5 kg spin. The star pulsator is driven by a heavy duty 180 W wash motor, with a separate 70 W motor on the spin tub, and the panel carries 3 knobs so wash, rinse, spin and drain are each set directly rather than through a menu.
A waterfall circulates water back over the load instead of letting it sit at the bottom of the tub, and the soak function holds a heavily soiled load in detergent before the wash starts. Four programs — Gentle, Normal, Strong and Heavy — cover everything from a silk kurta to work clothes. The lid is toughened glass, so you can see the load without stopping the machine, and there is a detergent box built into the tub.
It runs on an ordinary AC 230 V 50 Hz supply through a single water inlet, holds up to 132 litres at maximum water level, and the cabinet measures 913 × 560 × 1055 mm. Printed lid.
